I want to be able to add some simple text (about a sale) to our banner. I tried overlaying some text onto an image (jpg) but it looks dreadful & doesnt look the same on different platforms. Its terrible on mobile & is cut off half way by the header on the desktop version if I move it.

Is there really no way of doing this apart from buying a banner system that may or may not even work, or even be designed for the home page? Im just getting so sick of simple design things seemingly being out of reach. The templates they show you all have wording & a button on that top banner but it doesnt appear to be possible without a load of programming.
