Actually you should not base your decision to use responsive design or not (mobile module as well) on the Google search impact on the site. Nowdays if your site is not mobile friendly is not good.
So it is not a question whether google thinks your site is mobile friendly or not - the question is if your site is really mobile friendly. So you need to move to responsive or mobile module, period.
