You can use Firefox + Firebug to look at css. It will be very difficult to make modifications with out it.

The css that imapacts this:
#footer .box {height: 100px;}
#footer {height: 100px;}
#content-container { padding-bottom: 100px;}

You can use Webmaster mode to find out which templates to modify to add html.
