Angry Gift Card holders are expected to pay extra for shipping in X-Cart 5

Hi Guys,

I'm wondering what everyone thinks regarding the way the Gift Card module deals with shipping costs? Apparently, if a customer has a Gift Card that matches or exceeds the total order value (including shipping) that the customer is required to pay extra for shipping. Is his how Gift Cards are meant to work? Surely not.

Anyway, the point of the matter is that if I want the Gift Certificate to cover the cost of shipping as well, then I will need to have this 'feature' added by a developer or have Qualiteam do it for me at a cost.

I, for the life of me, can't understand how this can be called a feature. It's a standard function, isn't it? It's something that should have been there in the first place, right? Otherwise, Gift Card recipients would then be forced to make a payment just to be able to use the Gift Card, which sounds crazy. Or is it just me?
