I am really sorry that we can't provide a free X-Payments license for everyone. If we could we would do that. But our ongoing fees on development of this software and supporting its PA-DSS status make us charge our customers. Unfortunately, the PCI council and PA-QSAs do not work for free. Neither our developers. Even powerful communists could make people work for free and USSR collapsed due to economical reasons.
Said that I want to note that we launched special cheap X-Payments Hosted plan named "for Small Business" - see

Also, your free X-Payments license allows connecting up to 10 stores.
