OK, we have checked the issue in question.
It appears that one of the cPAddons requirements is to provide a non-empty installation parameter - 'installdir' (directory where X-Cart is going to be installed on web-site).
This allows to prevent accidental lost of files in the web root directory (for example, by overwriting the existing web-site's .htaccess file with the one supplied with the X-Cart software).
Anyway, customers can move their X-Cart installation from the web-site's directory, specified during the installation, to the web root directory, just following this detailed instruction provided in our Knowledge Base:
