I've been having issues importing product variants from xcart 4 to 5...
I had read the KB at
http://kb.x-cart.com/display/XDD/Migration+from+X-Cart+4+to+X-Cart+5
and this showed very little on how to do this... I was already able to export products themselves with a little work around - but the link there had made it much easier!
However it did not export classes/variants that I need as we are running a clothing website and have about 1500 clothing items each with 5-15 variants per item, and manually entering each one is not something we can really tackle.
I've tried adding products and variants to items in 5 and then exporting them to find out how it writes them. Then adding new products/attributes/variants and it seems to add new products, but it doesn't seem to add the variant sku codes/pricing/inventory that we would need.
Is there an easier way to export from 4 to 5 than manually inserting them or going into the database and inserting into different tables to hope you get it all right? :p
