SO you turned X-cart's one page checkout into Fast Lane Checkout with ajax?
It is still 3-step checkout if using credit card. And that is fine with me. My dream checkout is sized for an iPad/13" laptop, and is multi-step -- does NOT scroll down the page.
Have you integrated with x-payments (iFrame) ?
