If you don't want to display the featured products, the go to
skin1/customer/main/wecome.tpl an remove the code
{include file="customer/main/featured.tpl" f_products=$f_products}
and place this code somewhere else where you want to display.
For redirecting, go to index.php and change the code as you want.
