4.0.10 Upgrade went smoothly enough. Had to replace all of those manual patched files with the last versions original file and change the permissions for all of those, but everything seems OK.
A couple things though:
- 1. Why doesn't the Upgrade notes not instruct to set the permissions back?
2. How come every upgrade gives me (I say me because maybe I'm missing something) a search that doesn't pick up unique SKU's? I couldn't patch the include/search.php file, so I reinstalled the stock 4.0.9 version and backed my old one up. But, the patched search.php is useless, so I reverted back to my backup and again, works like a charm.
The include/search.php mod was from:
http://forum.x-cart.com/viewtopic.php?t=11930 and somewhere down in that post is the code to pick up the variant SKU's. X-Cart keeps saying this works in there code, but it never does. Am I wrong? Can anyone tell me if they have actually paid XC to make (I mean fix) the %&*$# search.php to actually work? I just added the
variant search code on the aforementioned post if anyone can validate it?
Other notes: The Statistics/Shop Stats still has a small bug somewhere in displaying the "Referred From" box, as I have a solid bottom border 50px thick.
X-Affiliates is starting to take shape - I actually think after I convert some of the links in the product descriptions to absolute that it could almost go live.
Anything else, time will tell (and it always does!)
