Yes, I like the idea of changing the "View Cart" link to the "Checkout", it's a simple fix and could easily be switched back etc. But, it would be nice to figure out how to get the cart details template to:
- 1. Make the product name link to the product.
2. Potentially add a thumbnail in the cart (like regular cart.tpl)
3. Update/Delete (But, I think this can easily be accomplisyhed by making the user enter qty: 0 to delete and item - like a lot of carts do)
I appreciate your ideas and don't mean anything negatively about you "checkout mod" post, but after a while reading similar checkout posts, you do happen to pop up quite a bit. After all, your sig. says it all anyways.
I think if I could at least modify the checkout details/contents to have a link to the product and maybe a thumb/icon, I might try not using the "View Cart" screen. It seems like this could easily accomplish what someone wants to do in the cart checkout anyway: add/delete/modify product.
