OK, in an attempt to have Webmaster Mode open and also have me logged in as customer to see the changes, I fired up my trusty Netscape 4.6...whoa, ugly!
Having come from a cgi driven cart that looked and performed fine in Netscape 3

, it's a bit of a leap of faith upgrading to X-Cart. Are there any ticks or trips for getting X-cart to look OK in *slightly* older browsers?
I'm still not convinced that it's only a very small and dispensable minority of users that have older bowsers that don't support X-Cart features (incl. use of Javascript) -I don't want to lose any custom if I can help it! On the other hand, I don't feel that X-Cart is too "bleeding edge" (as Jakob Nielsen would put it), and is probably on par with the ubiquitous Os-Commerce which seems to look just as bad in Netscape 4.6!
What are people's thoughts on this? Also, has anyone run any usability type tests/focus groups on X-Cart before unleashing it to the public? Just wondering how it conforms to good shopping cart usability design (is it intuitive for newbie web users etc?).
Thanks
Dan
