Bootstrap can be
customised, so if you only want the grid system, you can have only that.
If you're using the
Bootstrap CDN, or your server supports GZIP compression, then you shouldn't suffer much speed loss at all.

this recent post. The benefits far outweigh any negatives IMO. Bootstrap is only going to get
better.
Why would QT have chosen it for v5.x?
