Sorry didn't explain myself properly, I need to keep the base product just delete all the options and variants. Customer wants to remove options etc and have all options showing to the customer in the product list. In other word he wants the customer to not have to go into each product to find out there are further options, wants to take a couple of steps out of the ordering process.
So I thought, lets delete all options etc, then once back at the base number, clone each product as many times as necessary and change necessary details where applicable to duplicate the old options and variants.
