Aloha, your X-cart version is almost 10 years old. All the programmers that worked on your version are dead or senior citizens now. Sorry.
Just kidding, but I think you are going to have a very hard time finding someone who remembers a version that old and can answer this off the top of their head.
It could be that the field in the database is cutting off the length. Check to see how many characters are allowed on that field in the DB.
