We have investigated the problem.
The X-Cart installation wizard provides a check-box which allows to turn ON the X-Monitoring module, this check-box is enabled by default. When X-Cart is being installed with the check-box enabled, X-Cart does not get the required API key from the X-Monitoring service for some reasons. That is why when you turn OFF the X-Monitoring module right after the X-Cart installation, the monitoring service is not disabled for the store.
However, there is a workaround solution - when you turn the module ON and OFF once again, the required API key is obtained and the monitoring service is disabled for the store properly. Feel free to use this workaround solution to disable the notifications from the X-Monitoring service.
Meantime, we will investigate the problem further, to find out the reason why the required API key is not obtained properly during the X-Cart installation, and fix the issue permanently.
In case you have already removed X-Cart from your web-site and can not disable the module, please email us at
support@x-cart.com, we will disable the monitoring service for your web-site manually. In the nearest future, we will also improve the service, so customers will be able to disable the monitoring service for their web-site via a special secure link.
