Alex,
I must beg to differ!
eCom (actually most technologies) is a tricky, ongoing process and those who want to master it must always be learning and improving. As my high-school physics teacher kept pounding into my head, "you're either getting better, or you're falling behind - you never stay the same -- since if you stay the same, everyone else is getting better, so you're then falling behind." (paraphrased - he used profanity - it was 1979. LOL)
This community, as much as it's become a bitch-fest lately, is a valuable resource to all X-Cart store devs and admins (and dare I say, the X-Cart development team even though you sometimes fail to embrace your community), and even when things "just work" the community of devs and admins can all benefit by sharing our experiences. Even if it isn't specifically related to X-Cart code -- for example, I discovered a 3rd party solution that saves me an hour or more a day (ShipStation) and it integrates with X-Cart - so I shared it.
Additionally, no software is 100% bug-free. Well, maybe CloudSearch (an X-Cart SaaS add-on module that "just works") - but that's unusual. It's Always Something. So even if it "just works" I can promise you that something is gonna break it.
PS -- I am trying to solve an X-Payments 1.0.6 iframe "user interface defect (bug)" and I will make a separate post. Unfortunately, nothing is perfect.
Thx
J
