I wouldn't use xcart's OPC if you want customers to actually check out.
OPC can work if you are selling tech, to geeks.
If you are selling to normal people (non-techies), you need a checkout that is more like every other store in the world.
In X-Cart, you can use FLC or a 3rd party checkout.
I use Altered Cart Checkout One.
