The thing is that when i change url I don't want it to 301 redirect but only change it so that google would recognize it as a completely new,different page.I believe that if I change an url for the same page 5 times and so there will be 5 301s, i don't think that would be any good for seo.I checked an url I changed two years ago, and its still around. Why's that ?

Just a little hint Anty, listen to Jon what he said regarding the long tail keywords, urls like you mentioned above
www.mysite.com/news/table-lamps.html - isn't that good unless you're talking about table lamps in gerenal try to go for
www.mysite.com/news/how-to-choose-the-perfect-table-lamps.html
Although it's longer it's better for Google IMO.
