BUT...

A "store closed" page is gonna get you sent to Google purgatory. DO not pass go, etc...

You are MUCH, MUCH, MUCH better off developing your store in a /dev directory, close it to the world via htaccess IP restricted, and build a placeholder site that has text and images and in a basic way, is representative of your company. Even if it's only a few pages.

A "store closed" page once indexed is gonna take some work to purge from the search index.

Install xcart into a /dev directory and lock it down. No need to ever use store_closed.html
