Default Add a comment under "Company" in provider registration

I can't seem to figure out how to do this. When the provider registers, I have the field "company' checked as required in General Settings - User Profiles.

When the form presents, I want to add a comment underneath the field where the provider enters a company name.

I want it to say,

Enter your name
or a company name

I've tried editing 'register_personal_info.tpl, but nothing that I type in ever shows up on the screen. This is probably a simple one for all of you guru types out there.

Can someone please advise me?
