"Customer also bought" is the Recommended_Products module. I guess it could be moved to one of the menus but it would be kind of difficult.
To start with recommends.tpl uses dialog.tpl instead of menu_dialog.tpl, so that would have to be changed. Then you would have to remove the call for it from product.tpl and add the call for it to your left or right bar.
