After hours of trial and error I finally found a player that works fine so that now I can embed on the home page as I didnt want to display like others on the product page.
I installed the free video mod and it worked fine but ended up unistalling as really not what I was looking for.
I tried too to get it working in the Xcart standard editor but really not much joy.

V simple to follow instructions.
Really though it didnt work properly untill I used the file type .flv
I wonder now it that would have mad a difference in the xcart editor.
