I think the problem is, x-cart has released several different versions of x-cart recently and the 3rd party mod developers are having a hard time keeping up. There should be mod that will do what you want, just maybe not for the version you have.
Check http://forum.x-cart.com/forumdisplay.php?f=45 and see if there is something compatible.
