This is due to the HTML you're using in the email, if you use items specific to Outlook (backgrounds/themes etc) then you'll find Yahoo does not recognise many of these and strips the emails down.

If you're going for very complex layouts it's best to create the email sections using sliced image sections, this ensures it will look the same in almost any email reader.

We also recommend you always send yourself a test email to your yahoo account and adjust the email until you are happy with the formatting balance.
