Thanks for the response ... I have looked at and edited the following with no results:

order_cust_complete_subj.tpl
order_cust_processed_subj.tpl
order_customer_subj.tpl
order_notification_subj.tpl
eml_order_customer_subj.tpl

eml_order_cust_processed_subj.tpl
eml_order_notification_subj.tpl

and various associated language files

It seems that there are different sets of files for the customer to be notified of order status and changes, but only a single set of files for admin, so the notifications that the admin receives just say 'notification' and nothing about status, in the subject.

I would like to have the same types of notifications going to admin as to customer, but there are different admins depending on the status.
