Is there any reason why after you click submit order with VSP Form (or other gateways) a seperate page loads informing the customer they are being re-directed?

This information is already explained before the Submit order button, so is there any reason the submit button cannot go directly to the payment gateway page and eliminate this confusing and extra time consuming re-direct page?
