Hi there -

I have to admit that I haven't yet gotten to the import stage with X-Cart, but it's coming, that's for sure. And it will be coming in the form of the importing of product catalogs from multiple suppliers.

I've gone thru the X-Cart Import / Export Manual, and offhand everything seemed to more or less make sense, and therefore I was not anticipating any big problems (mind you, the fact that I can't find an actual data spec for each "table" / CSV file that outlines field types, sizes, etc. is a bit disconcerting).

But seeing a product like BCSE's Importer makes me wonder if they are actually filling a real need here, as in, am I going to be surprised and find that the batch or mass importing of supplier product catalogs is indeed not as "straightforward" as it might appear to be?
