Does anybody know if I could use the default XCart index.html page and turn it into a login page?

I have a client who wants to use an XCart licence on a subdomain for internal orders of products by their sales reps. So it's not a general for anyone to see type online shopping site, therefore the "splash page" issue is of no concern. They just wanted to prevent the casual browser from looking at their products if they happened to stumble across it.

So by having " please enter username & password" might just do the trick. Once the reps login they see the standard home.php page.
