Hi, my client is looking for an extemely minimal cart and I have been trying to remove the location.tpl from all pages which i managed by commenting out the call to display it in the skin1/customer/home file. the problem is that this works fine apart from a small space on all the pages that causes the middle area to be out of alignment from the left column. this occurs on all pages (so far) apart from when viewing a detailed product page. here are some examples:

any ideas how this can be remedied as im confused as to how this is not a problem on the main product page but is on the rest of the site.
i will also be trying to remove the 'printable version' bar from all pages too. will there be any problems in trying this?
