Default website vs webstore: link from site to buy now

Due to a new product launch I'm looking to redesign our existing website. The root (index.html) points to the website, then there is a link for the store (/store/index.php), in a sense there are two sites.

What I'm looking to do is to create a website but allow users to 'buy now' directly from the website (all html based, there will be a link at the top of the page for the store), so when they click 'buy now' from the site, it will re-direct them to their cart in the store, then allow them to redirect back to the page on the site they were on originally (the /store/ will still exist for those who just want the store). Is this something easy to do & has anyone else done this yet?

No luck searching the forums, so I apologize if this has already been asked.
