but the variables in xcart are scattered all over the place and the tools they provide are only good to access a percentage of the variables one would reasonably want to edit. there is incomplete use of CSS. it seems that some values are in the CSS (of which there seem to be only 2 and these are strictly sequential, not cascading in any way)and others are hidden, who knows where, hard coded in various tpls ???

if there were more logic to the layout of the cart system, it would be possible to modify it with the limited knowledge of HTML CSS and PHP that i have.

i have tried to find the location of the color values on the products page. i am using a color picker and Dreamweaver to search the whole site for the HEX value of the colors i want to change and have only been able to find some of them.

what are some other places where the color values might be hidden??????????????
