Really need to know which one you edited
Don't suppose you made a backup first? For future reference, you never want to delete code, just comment it out, at least until you are sure there are no adverse affects from what you edited.
Try re-uploading skin1/auth.tpl and skin1/authbox.tpl from your skin1_original directory. If you want to remove them from the customer side, open up skin1/customer/home.tpl and comment out the includes for them. Guide to editing here:
