Can I remove a whole category including heading...

Inventory <--- category heading
tracking <--- Menu Item
Shipping Methods <--- Menu Item
I figured out how to get rid of the menu items, but where do I comment out the whole thing... heading and all? I'll dig deeper when I get the contract.
