Default Re: Product markup percentage based on user level

Personally, I would price the products at "regular" or "retail" selling price, then give a membership level a discount. Works the same, but you are not asking your cart to calculate markup, which can vary based on your cost of goods. Instead, you establish your selling price, and give discounts as you see appropriate. AND x-cart does this automatically.

Doing it this way, your "basic" customer pays full price, and "advanced" gets a discount. If you want to play with your customer's minds, you can set "retail" pricing, put the product on sale by 10%, so everyone's base price is already a discount, and then your advanced group gets a bigger discount. This is a stock feature. Will this work for you?
