I was looking through some free mods and came across this one:

Looks easy...right? Well, not so much. After trying to implement it and it not working (I think I figured out that the $cat variable doesn't transfer - normally it is done by home.php?cat=###, but his mod just assigns the value to the variable, not through the POST), I gave up after spending almost 1 1/2 hours on it.
So now I'm here, hoping that someone else has some experience with this mod. I'm currently on 3.5.11, but I don't believe that is the problem. I have turned on Global Variables for PHP, but that didn't seem to help (they're still on)
Anyone have any ideas? This is exactly the sort of SEO thing I'm looking for and SIMPLE to boot, except I can't get it to work. Any help is appreciated.
