OK, my site was fine, all images were working, and now I have noticed that some thumbnail images are broken. Please see here:

The odd thing is, I checked the CDMod setting, and the images that are working are the same as the broken ones (644). I tried to edit the product and reupload the thumbnail and then resave and that did not work. Even odder, the larger product images are working fine.
Also, the images seem.. to work in the admin area, just not on the storefront. I am not sure what is going on. Please help...
