remember the forum is run by volunteers who have their own jobs to do and answer plenty of posts every day and dont always have time to spoon feed every request. The only place that you are assured a step by step explanation is xcart help desk. Simple things like installing templates will be well covered in either the tar file you download or elsewhere in the forums |
I think that the problem may be that the 'volunteers' have been 'volunteering' to long and have become calloused to the questions new users ask. I for one have refrained in the past from asking questions in here because of this exact reason. What may be simple to some after answering 100 times, may not be so for another. I only ask that 'some' of the 'volunteers' make this a professional forum and sometimes even a pleasureable experience.
