Quantity box problem
 

On the page below for some reason there is a quantity box on one product but none on the other. Noty sure what happened there. All the quantity boxed are on the second page when you click the buy button. How can I get this uniform?

Also, is there a way to add a quantity field instead of the drop list option?

Not sure but it could have something to do with your products options.
How did you declare them ? As "variant" or "modificator" ?
Do they have stock or not ?

Odd . . . I looked in the modify products and all settings are the same. I don't see "variant" or "modificator" options. Will I see this in Modify products?

Is there a definate place where I can set to have "Quantity" before or after the buy button?

Also this was installed a few days ago so this is a new verion of x-cart. Not sure where to find the version number.

Choose colour & choose style are your products options.
Go to your admin section where you defined them and check it out.

for security reasons chod VERSION to 0000.

You wont see variant of modificator then as they are part of the 4.0.x versions.

The reason why you are not seeing the quantity boxes in the page you gave as an example is that what you are looking at is the products.tpl which doesnt allow product options out of the box, for that you would need to modify it yourself or pay for some to do it.
Out of the box x-cart only allows product options on the product.tpl (or more details as the page is comonnoly known) i.e http://www.metzgerinc.com/xcart/customer/product.php?productid=16135&cat=249&page=1
