We have just purchased x-cart pro 4.0.

We own to web sites and have installed the x-cart on a new web site .

how can we change the x-cart, so when customers that come from website A they get the look and feel of website A , and customers that come from website B get the look and feel of website B

so you are trying to use one cart for 2 diffrent websites? And you want the cart to match the layout types of each seperate website? You would need to sets of templates(one for each layout) and a way to have an if/then that would track where each visitor came from and show the the correct store layout . It would be easier and probably more reliable to use 2 stores and run them both off one database since you will be selling the same products....
