Help removing items on main category page
 

I'm trying to prevent the store items from being shown on the main category page. Please see this link as an example:

How do I get rid of the closet box on this page?

Add Version # in your signature please.

I had to do a double take to see what you are doing. That "closet" box is normally where your closet/subcategories would reside.

I don't know what version you are running, but you will need to edit customer/main/products.tpl I believe. Be careful because exclude that box will also exclude it when you display products in your subcategories.

You will need some kind of conditional statement that excludes that box if it is on a root category page.

Hi... sorry I forgot my version # which is 3.5.9

Some mods have been made that remove the subcategory listings from that box on the main category page. I only want that box removed on the main category page, not on the subsequent subcategory pages if that makes any sense.

On this page I would to remove the "Closet" box, but obviously if any subcategories are clicked on, I would like the box with the products to appear.

I suppose an easy fix, although one which I don't particularly like, would be to eliminate the featured products and just choose a few products which I would like featured to be listed in the "Closets" (in this example) category.

If you know of a way around this please let me know.
