Smarty 2.6.3 or .4
 

Has anyone successfully implemented Smarty 2.6.3 or .4 with X-Cart 3.5.8 or above (but not 4.x)? I read the thread about this from a while ago, but it kind of abruptly ended without a final resolution (there were some problems with webmaster mode).
