Help! need to create simple one page store to start with....
Hey All,
I'm a n00b at this, so please accept my apologies upfront. I have searched through the forums for about 2 hours now to no avail looking for an answer to my dilemma. My Client, at this point, only needs to show about 11 products all on one page. They also need the ability to add multiple products to the cart from this single page. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. Ken |
On the Admin>Categories> page look for the "Featured products" area. You can use this to show the 11 products on the home page.

http://www.cart-lab.com
has a mod for wholesale products (multiple products in one click) or something. You could ask B00MER to work something up for you. |
Thanks for the replies guys!

I tought of doing this - but i can't get my version of xcart to stop putting products 2 in a row (featured products or all products on a category page). And yes :D I have checked the appropriate settings in general Settings > Appearance properly. I even tried hard coding the number "1" instead of the "$config.Appearance.products_per_row" variable in products_t.tpl - still to no avail - I think this is a bug in the software! I have checked the "$config.Appearance.products_per_row" variable in phpMyAdmin and it IS changing through the admin area - but it's getting lost between the database and the cart! All I need at this point is the products to show up 1 per row down the page and I'll be off and running! Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated!!!!! AND will earn my undying gratitude :D Thanks in advance, Ken |
Follow up
Hello all,
for all those interested - i do have a solution. in the products.tpl file i just commented out the if and end if statements on lines 4 and 6, leaving the <tr> on line 5 intact now my products (in any category) and my featured products (on the main page) appear nicely down the page - each on one row! Thanks to all of you who replied to my original post Ken |

Thanks Shan,
One question though...will this work for v4.0.2? In reading through the posts of the link you posted I'm not quite sure... Has anyone had any luck with this Mod for 4.x versions of X-Cart? Thanks, Ken |
