Xcart editing is frustrating!!! - Help My site is gone
 

I am new with all of this. I have been messing around with xcart and I keep running in to the same problems. I just upgraded to 3.5.6 and I changed my head.tpl and my site no longer comes up. All that is displayed is an error in the head.tpl line 8.

I can clearly see that I have done something wrong when editing that template. But how can I fix the problem. Do I need to reinstall the xcart?

I understand that I can ftp the old head.tpl into the skin directory but how do I get the coding into the .tpl format?

Hi:

1. Normally you either have un-matched parenthesis or miss semi-colon.

2. The easy way to let your site shows up is to replace the head.tpl file with the orignal head.tpl file.

3. Then repeat the editing steps from beginning. Remember: do each small step, prove it correct, then go to next step. It will let you easily go back and know what and where is wrong.
