Where do I start?

I want to attempt to convert www.dubees.com to x-cart. I want to incorporate the look and feel of that site into x-cart. X-cart tells me it would cost $250. I would like to try and save some cash by doing it my self. Can someone lead me in the right direction on what is involved?

The files you need to look at are in skin1 directory. The file: skin1/customer/home.tpl should be the first one to start.

You might next want to look at head.tpl - this template controls the header area so you can match it with your existing site.

It looks like all you need to do is edit the header. Your store looks like x-cart's default look.

Skin1/head.tpl as mentioned above

and

skin1/site.css

Are the two main files for yours, the CSS file needs modifying so your side menus match what you have there.

Other than that it's pretty straight forward skin you have there in the shop section.

It should be skin1/skin1.css in XCart gold.

IT'S WORKING! I am making progress. This is not has hard as I thought it would be. I am still experimenting with different colors and trying to figure out what in the stylesheet matches whats is on my screen. Is there a map to point out what is what in the stylesheet? There is so much in there that I have no idea what it goes with....my method is just to change a color then refresh my screen. There has to be a better way?
