Changing Admin Templates...

Hi

I want to disable some options in the admin area, I only want to change what's in the center of the main admin page, I have already modified the links on the left and right, can anybody point me towards the appropriate template file?

Thanks
Amanda

Turn on Debugging

You can go into General settings and activate "Debugging" mode. With this, you will get another page of html output when you go to different pages of your X-Cart site, which shows which templates are employed in generatinmg the code for that pages.

Once you have finished your modifications, you can, of course, deactivate it.

I have just done this for one client and the files are:

admin/main/promotions.tpl
provider/main/promotions.tpl

(obvious wasn't it!!)

Where are the files

Quote:

admin/main/promotions.tpl
provider/main/promotions.tpl

I can't see the files you refer to, Funkydunk.

what version are you running?

Version 3.2.2

I'm running 3.2.2 Pro with Affiliate.

I think what I have to do is add a date field to each product. then, add a table called, say, "Availability."

If I add a button "Check availability," then a customer can choose the tour product, then that button calls a subroutine taking the date he entered and check if there is space in the table, deduct the number of spaces he is booking, then carry on with the check-out.

If you are suggesting that the "promotions.tpl" file is where I add the subroutine, you might be correct, I just have not analyzed it that much.

I think we are talking at cross threads here cos the promotions.tpl is to change the admin menu items that appear within the central area.

What are you trying to do?

Wrong Post

You're right.

I thought you were talking about how to adda table so I could do a look up on my tour supply, which was the content of anothe post I had made.

So, that's what got me confused. I started looking for a subroutine in the pages you referenced, but their contents didn't make sense.

No problem. I am in the process of answering my own, earlier post.

Cheers!
