This is from my 3.4.14 store but the code must be similar.

skin1/customer/main/cart.tpl

Hardcode the image_x to a fixed width. Either image_x=100 or image_x="100" I'm not sure which.

Best of luck.

Here is how I did it.

I used Photoshop to resize the pictures. I created thumbnails and Detail Images both at the sametime using Photo Gallery on PS7

Thumbnails 120x120px
Details 600x480px

Then I uploaded to my server to the proper folders.

../xcart/files/thumbnails
../xcart/files/details

Best of luck

Photoshop resize?

Hi,
I am new to PS7 and was wondering how to create thumbs and larger images in PS7? Do you have to change image size on each small and large image.

Also...
* how do I reduce the image file size?
* when I shrink my image the pic becomes hard to look at, can the image re-focus itself?
Thanks in advance.

if you want to reduce several pics at the same time PS& has an option called "Web photo gallery" this is how you get to it

File ----> Automate -----> Web photo gallery

Now PS7 will reduce the Image to the size you like if you product image is smal to begin with then the thumbnails will not look good.

So make sure the big image of your product is frame in your picture as big as can possibly be.

Hope this will help

Kind regards,
Ricky

To reduce image size: Get your image up into PSP. From "image" pull-down select "resize." A box comes up with options. Hit radio button near the top for "pixel size." Down near bottom at "Resize type" select "Bicubic Resample." Check both boxes below that to "Resize all Layers" and "Maintain Aspect Ratio." Then go back to the top and enter width. Type in 125 pixels for width. Then hit OK. This would be your thumbnail. Under "files" select "Save As" and give it a new name, and select .jpg fle type. ie: if original file is named widget.xxx, save it as widgetT.jpg.

Now clear the thumbnail by clicking on the X. Reload original image. Do all over again except for the size in pixels can be larger, almost any size you like. So, try, for example, 300 to 500 pixel width. When done, save this as widgetD.jpg for your Detailed image.

Since you'll probably be doing this a lot, you might want to create a directory on your hard drive called "StorePics" or something like that. Then create three sub directories; thumbnails, detailed, and originals.

Hope this helps.
