Embedded Static Pages

I have created some static pages and did it under the embedded command but my pages are showing up outside the site.

Can someone lead me in the right direction as to what I did wrong. Does the checkbox with the Smarty thing have anything to do with this? When I look at the preview it looks ok and then does not show up that way...

My nonlive site is on a temp domain at www.mw2wholesale.com. and and all of the items under "More Info" is what I am talking about...

Thank You in adavance for any help...

They appear to be "root level" pages.

They are showing up under your admin under "embedded" level pages? If so, I hope someone can help you out.

Yea, that looks like what you did. If you want the pages to be contained within the X-Cart structure (with all the menus and stuff), then you have create Embedded Pages, not Root Pages.

These were done as Embedded pages and when I do a preview of them from the admin they are showing up as embedded pages. The problem is when I am veiwing them from the storefront they are :as you guys are calling it: root pages...

In the admin section when you create a static page it also lists your embedded and root pages... and all of these pages are listed under root...

Dude you should slap some password protection on the admin and provider directories.

Actually while you are at it, you may want to rename those directories and alter top.inc.php to suit.

Good luck with your store!

Adpboss,

I have changed the names of the directories that you have mentioned and altered the top.inc.php file as explained in the post you referred me to. However I do not see how to password protect those directories like you mentioned.

Although I am not new to the online store world... I am new to a cart that offers so much with accessible code... and I am trying to learn as I go here....

Thank you for pointing this out to me...

I use cpanel and it offers the option to password protect directories.

You might want to ask your host how best to do it on your system if the web admin software is Plesk or Ensim. I don't know either of those very well.

:)
