Assign order status based on payment method
We use purchase orders and credit cards as payment types. We simply want any order with payment type of Purchase Order to be assigned to a different payment status. Something like "Awaiting Payment". Instead they are all being marked as "Paid". In reality this is not true for Purchase Orders because the customer must still be invoiced.
Any easy way to change this or modules that could accomplish this? Using 5.3.5. |

Hi there.
If you are using the default 'Purchase Order' payment method in X-Cart 5.3, all orders processed with this one will receive 'Awaiting Payment' and will stay there until you manually switch it to 'Paid'. Do you have 'Custom Order Statuses' module installed? |

I have tested with both Custom Order Statuses enabled and disabled. Purchase order always shows a payment status of Paid and fulfillment status of Will Not Deliver.

Another update - the POS module was causing the problem. I have disabled it and Purchase Order payment methods are working as you would expect.

Great that you found the origin of the issue.
