how to make out of stock items appear in search results
 

Hi,

I wounder if anyone can help me with this.

when an item is currently out of stock, it will show out of stock on the customer view all ok

however if someone was to search for an out of stock product it doesnt appear in the search results.

it is still there if you load up the direct link, and displays out of stock ok

I would like to know how i can make it appear in search results when out of stock.

so people know its out of stock and to check back later

also, i am using the inventory tracking feature, and can allow back order feature, but the problem with this is many of my items cost price changes when stock again becomes available, so i dont want to delete the product, i dont want to deactivate the product.

I just want the out of stock items to be shown in search results, and to show we are out of stock

Store setup -> Cart and Checkout page

"How to show out of stock products" option. Choose "Show in all the sections".
